Jarad and Tommie Roper have joined forces with several new companies for 2017. “We are blessed to be able to partner and work with such companies as Yamaha, PolarKraft Boats, GoLight & BlueWater LED just to name a few in 2017. For some of these manufacturer’s we are their first Pro Crappie Team,” says Jarad.

Jarad and Tommie, also known as “Team Roper” are a well-known father and son fishing team who have won several tournaments over the years and have a number of Top 10 finishes to their credit.  You can catch them on tour in both the Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Tournament trail, as well as the Cabela’s Crappie USA Tournament trail during 2017.

Owners and operators of Roper Outdoors, Jarad and Tommie are sought after speakers on the nuances of crappie fishing, having presented seminars at many popular outdoor and fishing shows.   Roper Outdoors owns CrappieNation.net and CrappieStation (YouTube Channel), where Jarad and Tommie share videos and insights on how to catch more and larger fish.

Team Roper will run a custom PolarKraft TX 195 Pro powered by a Yamaha 150 SHO. The PolarKraft TX 195 Pro features an enlarged live well, more storage and strategically placed seating locations to better accommodate fishing styles such as spider rigging and properly man them from any position on the boat.  Featuring PolarKraft’s famous transom to bow longitudinal stringer super structure, and torque control box design system that provide the most solid fishing foundation on the market. The boat will also be tricked out with the BlueWater LED lights and a Gobee Halogen made by GoLight. “Dad and I hit the water sometimes before the sun comes up and it’s very important to be able to see in our boat and for others to see us also on the water. That’s another reason why we teamed up with GoLight to feature the Gobee Halogen. The Gobee has your standard red and green Navigation Lights but also a Wireless Remote Control Spot Light, to see stumps and any other obstructions in the water,” says Jarad.

Other accessors the boat will have are Driftmaster Rod Holders featuring the Crappie Stalkers for the bow and a New Trolling Rack System for the stern, Odyssey Marine Batteries and Gator Guards KeelShield to protect the boat’s keel.

“The crappie industry is normally over looked by many companies but the reality is there are more than 13 million crappie/panfish anglers in America and its great that these companies are recognizing them through these sponsorships.”
