I’m glad to announce that dad and I have a new sponsor! We have partnered with EPCO Products Inc., maker of the SNAPPER Remote Control Boat Latch, a device that allows virtually any boat and trailer combination to exercise the launch and retrieve efforts with minimal effort and with maximum security.A lot of people don’t know but this year at the Crappie Masters Grenada Tournament while loading the boat on the last day to come to weigh-in, our boat winch strap broke. We had several boats behind us waiting to load. Mind you we were on the other end of the lake. Which is not close to where the weigh-in was being held. You have to be in the weigh-in line before a particular time and we were pushing it. Thankfully there was enough of the trailer out of the water and enough boat on the trailer for it not to slide off. (I was praying so hard) That’s why dad and I are pleased and grateful to be part of the EPCO family.

A Day On The Lake with Roper Outdoors

Posted by admin on May 27, 2012

Dad and I had a chance to take Brandon J. fishing yesterday. Brandon is one of Memphis, TN Bass Pro Shops top Managers. We had a BLAST! I haven't laughed that hard and long in some time. We caught 30 Slabs or as we call them Hogs and about 10 got off right at the boat. The Crappie wanted a 2.5 inch Southern Pro black/chart Walleye Tube Jig tipped with a minnow. We were trying some new color jigs that might be out later this year. Thanks to Do-It Molds for some great powder paint, Bee Ready Rod Holders which Brandon loved and Southern Pro for the best jigs in the world. If you want huge crappie like we caught book a guide trip.

Roper Outdoors Jigs Getting The Job Done

Posted by admin on April 25, 2012

You can hear people talk about how great their products is until you and them are blue in the face, but at the end of the day, it doesn't mean anything. Until, you can see some proof of its effectiveness. Well Shane from Oklahoma sent me a photo of the fish he caught and this is what he said “Thanks again, received my jigs yesterday and boated 16 fish in 30 min thanks for the great jigs.” In the photo the crappie on the left has the Roper Outdoors Green Shiner Jig Head in its mouth and the crappie on the right has the Roper Outdoors Silver Shiner Jig Head in its mouth. That crappie on the left been through some hard times.

What more can you say other than

THEY WORK!
