2024 Roper Outdoors Youth Fishing Event

Get ready for an exhilarating recap of Roper Outdoors’ youth fishing event at the Larry S. Bryant Wellness Center/Sports Complex in Forrest City, AR, on August 3, 2024! With perfect weather and eager young anglers, the event saw nearly 50 enthusiastic participants ready to cast their lines. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as kids, guardians, organizers, and volunteers all reveled in the joy of fishing. “There’s nothing like seeing the reaction on a kid’s face when they catch a fish, especially for the first time,” said Jarad Roper, owner of Roper Outdoors.

Beyond the thrill of fishing, attendees also benefited from free health screenings provided by NYIT. This incredible event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Roper’s Way Farm, Mayor Larry S Bryant & The City of Forrest City, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Mishanna Lanes from University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Research & Extensions for creating the flyer and the encouragement she provided, Mrs. Lane from St. Francis County Extensions, DMF Bait Co., CJ’s Bait Company, Harvest Field Ministries Church, and a special shoutout to Roy Hancock for grilling the hot dogs.
